Law Careers Club is a membership designed to help law students and aspiring lawyers navigate application processes and land dream jobs in law firms and legal departments.

 
We offer careers advice, application reviews, careers sessions, and more, all tailored to getting a law job in the UK.

Our qualified careers advisors have personal experience of legal practice as well as careers qualifications.

They have a wide overview of the profession not simply based on personal success in the job market but rooted in helping hundreds of students secure work in law firms of all sizes and across the country.

You will receive impartial advice targeted at law jobs and based on your specific career goals.

Lots of our material around decision-making and how to do applications is relevant to both the Bar and the Solicitors’ profession. You will also find help on how to put together your CV and how to secure paralegal jobs. However, we do not yet have specified support for the Bar interview process or details of timelines. You should look at the Pupillage Gateway. 

We also offer tailored advice through our application reviews and 1:1 sessions with our legal careers advisors (who also specialise in the Barrister route).

No! Our advice is focused on getting jobs in the legal profession based in the UK. If a UK law job is what you want, you can access our help from anywhere in the world, and if you sign up for our Gold Membership with 1:1 support, we offer our calls at a variety of different times to facilitate different time zones.

If you are looking for a law job outside the UK then you will find plenty of useful support, but you should be aware that different countries look for applications to be put together in different ways.

Silver and Gold members have the option to submit an application, which might be by way of an application form, a CV, or a cover letter, and our experts will provide detailed feedback and actionable suggestions to improve your chances of success.

Silver members get one application review every 3 months, Gold members get two application reviews every 3 months.

All member of the club have paid access to additional application reviews.

Application reviews can be banked up over time and used at a time that suits you best during your job hunt journey.

If you're studying law, thinking about a legal career, or exploring your options in the legal profession, Law Careers Club is for you. It’s suitable for students at all stages, career changers, and anyone interested in English law. 

We don’t yet have detailed advice on Bar interviews (that’s coming soon!) but our application support is equally relevant to solicitors’ firms and to the Bar, and aspiring barristers can get personalised support via our application reviews or a 1:1 sessions.

Unlike many other careers support services, Law Careers Club is designed by qualified careers advisors with expertise in legal job applications. Law applications are very different from many other job applications and vary widely across the legal sector, which is why it's important to get specific advice based on your personal career aspirations. 

There is lots of free information available online around careers, but if you don’t know how to apply this to your unique journey in the way that employers are looking for, you can end up wasting a lot of time-consuming a lot of information without having any clue about how to actually turn this into the results you are looking for.

Getting a job in law is tough. It’s one of the most competitive industries out there, with a complex and unique application process that can vary widely across the legal sector. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed.
 

Having helped over 60,000 students pass their law exams, we wanted to do more. We were frustrated by the lack of tailored, practical advice for law students—most of what’s out there is either generic or created by people with no experience of helping others secure legal roles. (Let’s face it: getting multiple job offers yourself is great, but it doesn’t make you an expert in teaching others how to do the same!).

That’s why we created the Law Careers Club. It’s designed by qualified careers advisors with expertise in legal job applications. We give you the tools, guidance, and support you need to navigate the legal job market with confidence and stand out from the competition.

Not at all! Whether you're studying law, transitioning from another career, or just considering your options, Law Careers Club has resources for everyone interested in getting into law. 

If you are just starting out, we recommend you watch our free Routes Into Law Course to get a basic understanding of your options.

Bronze: Our training bank of 85+ videos and templates, and community access and the opportunity to have your questions answered during our fortnightly Q&A calls.

Silver: Everything in Bronze plus CV / application reviews tailored to your goals.

Gold: Everything in Silver plus one-to-one calls, personalised feedback, and priority support.

Bronze and Silver members can access additional reviews and 1:1 calls.

You can book a 1:1 meeting with a legal careers advisor to discuss your career concerns. This might be anything from career planning to application reviews or interview preparation. These sessions are tailored to your specific needs.

Gold members have one call every 3 months included in their membership. Silver and Bronze members can purchase support as required. The option is not available to those who do not belong to the Law Careers Club.

1:1 meetings can be banked up over time and used at a time that suits you best during your job hunt journey.

With Silver or Gold membership, you can submit CVs, cover letters, or applications for detailed, tailored feedback from our experts.

Our standard turnaround time is 5 working days. It is possible to request a faster response but this will incur an additional charge.

Yes! Members have access to live webinars and Q&A sessions. 

Our gold members will have a virtual meeting with a legal careers advisor (bronze and silver members can also access these at a reduced rate).

It depends on your starting point, effort, and the opportunities you pursue.

Law Careers Club provides the tools and support to supercharge your progress, but the timeline will vary for everyone.

We can’t guarantee a job, but we can guarantee you’ll have the best possible guidance, support, and resources to improve your chances. 

Your success will depend on many factors, including flexibility and determination. If you don’t secure your dream job quickly, our resources will also help you to secure a paralegal job which can help put you on the road to success.

As long as your membership is active. You can cancel anytime if you no longer need it.

Your membership will renew automatically every three months, and as long as you don’t cancel your membership, your price will be locked in for the entire duration you stay in the Club!

Getting a job in law (as we’re sure you know already!) is not a walk in the park. It takes time, it takes commitment, and it doesn’t happen overnight. 

Many students take years to find the niche that is right for them and each individual application can take months to resolve.

We feel that 3 months is the minimum period to allow you to get the benefit from the membership, and of course we would encourage you to stay throughout your whole application process so you can make use of our support.
